The Alde & Ore Community Partnership
The AOCP was formed to help deliver the Estuary Plan for the Alde & Ore area. It involves the whole community, with every parish bordering the rivers having a seat on the Partnership, together with a County Councillor, two District Councillors, as well as business, local Internal Drainage Board and Alde & Ore Association representation.
The AOET is a charity responsible for raising and administering the funds required to maintain and upgrade the estuary river walls where government funding is not available. Its role is to supplement the efforts being made by local organisations working to improve the flood defences, to get the financial support this project needs and to enable them to deliver their plans in time to avoid further flood damage.
