Comments have to be made via the <a href=\"https:\/\/consult.environment-agency.gov.uk\/fcrm\/national-strategy-public\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Consultation Hu<\/a>b by 4th July 2019.<\/p>\n<p>Alde and Ore Association Trustees are considering the document and several have attended the Anglian Eastern RFCC event at Snape Maltings on 5th June to hear\u00a0 more about it, to better prepare an Association response on a policy which may be very important in shaping any future plans for the Estuary.<\/p>\n<p>Briefly, the draft strategy looks ahead to actions between the years 2030 and 2050. It focusses in three key themes<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>climate resilient places<\/li>\n<li>today\u2019s growth and infrastructure- resilient to tomorrow\u2019s climate<\/li>\n<li>a nation of climate champions, able to adapt to flooding and coastal change through innovation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All members are encouraged to respond to the consultation themselves and we have prepared a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aldeandore.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/Consultation-response-guidance-for-members.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Guidance for Members<\/a> summarising the issues involve. If there are particular points any one would like the Association to make please email <a href=\"mailto:info@aldeandore.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">info@aldeandore.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Association will try to arrange a meeting about it, hopefully bringing in an Environment Agency representative to give background and explanations when needed. This will be at fairly short notice as the final response has to be in by 4th July.
